  • Notes
    • It seems unlikely, chronologically, that she was the Catherine Curnow baptized 24 Nov 1703 at Towednack, even though that Catherine's baptismal record identifies the father as Robert Curnow, and the 1744 will of Robert Curnow identifies his daughter Catherine as the wife of Matthew Stevens ("[T]o my daughter Katherine wife of Matthew Stevens of Zennor one guinea and the clock that she now hath"), because that would make her ten years older than Matthew Stevens of Zennor, and it would also mean that she and Matthew married when she was 35. Perhaps the 1703 individual was an earlier Catherine/Katherine that died young.
