You can find stuff from several more of those chocolatiers at Bierkraft, on Fifth Avenue north of Union in Park Slope, along with a zillion kinds of beer, the best cheese selection in the Slope, and lots of other good things. We took Singer there, and he and the proprietors got on famously.</p>

<p>Stefan, I am amused but not boggled. For one thing, I've seen British novelty candies. For another, I'm familiar with <a href="http://www.candywarehouse.com/" rel="nofollow">Candy Warehouse</a>.          <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Be sure to look for the Fair Trade certification.  Actually, as the Newman's Own Organics customer service rep pointed out to me, organically grown chocolate is almost always fair trade in nature, even if (as is the case with Newman's Own) they are not certified by the FTO, by virtue of the exacting standards required of organic farmers and the premium paid for their products.</p>

It's good to have a place to get Green & Black (unless that's Black & Green -- I can never remember).  I've been thinking that my flourless chocolate cake might be even better made with Maya Gold, but it takes a whole pound.</p>
