I think that deserves some kind of award: not for the content, although that's superb, but for managing to use the word 'asseverated' correctly.

(Amazing: an obscure word that Stephen Donaldson hasn't used to mean something completely different.)

Stephen Donaldson's use of obscure words makes me suspect he writes using three thesauri and no dictionary.

About fourteen years back, I was walking around my employer's office building (Bi-County Boulevard, Farmingdale, NY) when I came across a door for . . . Gernsback Publications.

They were still around, publishing electronics hobby mags.

No idea if they're still around. I'd Google for the answer, but I actually prefer that they remain in a Schrodinger's-Cat-like indeterminate state.
