Do you have any solid links? Since I didn't know anything about it, I went to Technorati and clicked on the top topic, "Bush Indictment," and all I saw were blog stories about "Bush Indictment" being the top topic on Technorati.

I realize I'm just making the problem worse by commenting on it. But I'd like to see some evidence that this isn't just somebody's pet Nigritude Ultramarine.

As far as I can make out, some idiot made a blog post about a possible Bush indictment. Someone saw it and propogated it. It hit Technorati and a lot of right wing weblogs made the observation it didn't exist- thus propelling the "Bush indictment" further up the rankings (and people searching for this phenomenon propelled it still further). This continued to grow under its own weight.

Storm in a teacup, and Teresa is just having fun adding yet another hit to technorati.

Given that it's difficult to think of anyone or anything outside the Double Super Secret Frat Party that he hasn't damaged, humanity may have to wait its turn down the list.

I'm reminded of a comment that some liberal blogger (Digby?) made in response to Wonkette et al.'s Roberts-might-be-gay joke, and the conservative OMG-what-a-cruel-accusation response: the Republican wingnuts need to feel like they're under attack by the eevil libruls, so they will magnify the most trivial things. A Bush-indictment rumor spread by a Democratic wingnut, no matter how obscure, is a godsend to these people.

There are allegations that US nationals engaged in raping children in front of their parents in Baghdad, on video footage turned in by a US service member to DoD, that DoD was sued regarding the footage and is effectively in contempt of court refusing to release it.

The alleged activities happened on Schmuck's watch (or deliberate inattention as in "if I wear blinders and put selective bandpass filters in my ears I won't see or hear anything untoward or be apprised of it..." He has said words to the effect of his subordinates prescreen material to be related to him p/l/a/y t/e/l/e/p/h/o/n/e w/i/t/h (the variety where the message gets rewritten at each level along the way) in their words and opinions (and heavily filtered)). The US Executive Branch has been playing coverup for the level of obscenity and ugliness for many months, first covering over the prisoner abuse and torture which did get discusses in Congress--note that the Congresscritters said that there were worse pictures they'd seen than the ones which got shown by the US media.

Regarding the possibility of the US Executive Branch falling if someone does find a way to take effective legal action that the Reponsibility Evader can't revade, Italy regularly had its government fall during the 1970s, it was no big deal there, the country continued to function despite the government falling again and again and again there.

There's a story (to be fair, perhaps apocryphal) from the first Gulf Way, in which a general talks about suppressing footage of Iraqi grunts getting cut to pieces with fire from a helicopter gun ship.

If the pictures, sound, and video that Seymor Hersh describes is as bad as it sounds, and they get out, the DOD is going to be in for a really thorough mucking out.

I have no idea, and I've been wondering what is up with that myself.

My initial impression was that Hersh had copies of the really bad stuff, which was also made available to Congress and that Rumsfeld himself described as really bad.

Was Hersh given an offer he could not refuse? Is he waiting for the right time? Did he have second thoughts, perhaps believing that the footage is so awful that the reaction to it would put Americans in danger?

Time will tell.

I am so ashamed that I wasted my vote on bush. What was I thinking? Why did I let my right wing extremist, neo-conservative, neo-evangelical thinking get in the way of exercising sound personal judgment? If being conservative means fleecing this nation, getting our people killed for the control of oil, murdering innocent people, shifting the direction of our economy back to the dark un-prosperous days of reaganomics and destroying the middle and lower classes of this country to benefit the rich & elite, then a lot of people need to re-evaluate what they think they are when they say that they are conservative. Why? Because that is exactly what has been happening to this country over the last 5 years thanks to those who claim to be conservative or neo-conservative. These are the same people who fear truth or facts about what's really going on in our government. Anytime someone exposes the lies of the bush cabinet, these so called conservatives have a pattern of accusing people of believing liberal lies. It’s pretty bad when truth is crying out to be heard and it is continually reduced to being liberal lies by those who claim to be conservative or even Christian. Those of you who support bush should all be ashamed. The following is not a pro Clinton or pro Democrat statement but simply a statement of fact and those who ignore this are hypocrites. These so called conservatives and republicans raked Clinton over the coals for his indiscretion with an intern. However, the very same people condone the murder of our citizens and Iraqi civilians, blatant lies from bush and his cabinet and a presidency that is extremely fiscally unsound with the underlying goal of raiding the nation’s treasury to benefit the rich and wealthy. He personally did not have this done. He would not be trusted with such an assignment. He knew his cronies would be doing it, and he didn't know to what extent he would be in danger. Hence, his [non] action when he heard the "news" and the way he fled in his plane, making sure he was as far away from danger as possible. Such courage.
Even for the two days or so that I believe the official line, it was obvious that Bush was a worthless coward. Like so many bullies.

NESARA Scam

NESARA is an acronym for the National Economic Stabilization and Recovery Act, which is a legislative proposal that merely reintroduces specie as alternative currencies to help combat anti-inflationary policies of the paper currency. The NESARA proposal is sponsored by the “NESARA Institute”, having offices at 7635 Jefferson Highway, No. 354, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809 (Ph: 864-886-0657). Although the NESARA proposal has been presented to many Congresspersons over the years, and some have expressed interest in the proposal, it hasn't yet built up sufficient support for even introduction to Committee, much less to a full vote by Congress. Maybe someday the NESARA proposal will find support in Congress and may be presented for a vote, but that really isn't the point of this webpage. (You can read all about NESARA at www.nesara.org). The point of this webpage is that when certain scam artists claim that NESARA has been "enacted into law" by "secret Acts of Congress" they are telling a great big lie and total fabrication because NESARA has never even been formally made into a Bill or presented for either a Committee vote or a full vote or Congress

And it goes on to explain what the scam is up to. (For those of you who believe in NESARA, it's all bad news.)
