Seen the story on Looka about Boh Bros. Construction Co. fixing the 17th Street Canal breach? Track to the news report, and it starts to look a little like a black propaganda attack on the USACE.

The USACE are the people who do the planning and design; they're civil engineers, not people with shovels. And they've been clear enough what Bush's budget cuts meant. They're the people who employ construction companies, but they're not on Bush's side.

I'm certain somebody has signed a contract with Boh Bros., knowing they may well lose their job over it. And I wouldn't be surprised if Boh Bros. expect some Beltway Bushista to tear it up. What happens next might look like corruption, but it'll be New Orleans looking after its own.

But watch the scapegoating.

I was unfamiliar with the site Crooks and Liars until today. It calls itself an online virtual magazine, and mostly what it is is clips from TV news shows.

I visited it because apparently some FOX "reporters" in the field (Geraldo Rivera and Shepard Smith) had a major despair melt-down while O'Reilly and Hannity, safely in their studio, were being apologists for the administration.
