I am already dealing with serious NY withdrawal, and the thought of seeing another gig just adds to the oomph. I really enjoyed what I heard in June, and want to order the CD since there's the small matter of 3,000 miles between me and attending. (The Pussycat Lounge sounds kinda fun, actually.)

(The little I heard sounded good, but their Flash player is not my idea of a good way to listen to things!)

I"m going to just miss the gig by two days, well, three, technically.

I like what I've heard, and look forward to the CD. Would also please consider submitting to Apple's iTunes?

Here's the form.

The link to Producer, the software used to encode and tag files on is this page, center bottom.

comment from Patrick Nielsen Hayden on 8.Dec.05

It'll be available on CD Baby and, yes, the iTunes music store. This is indie music, folks; we haven't got it manufactured yet. Be assured that when there's something the readers of Making Light can buy, the readers of Making Light will be the first to know.

I've said this before, but: one of the things I most enjoy about being in this band is that I'm not in charge of anything. I don't arrange bookings, find studio space, maintain the web page, decide what to offer on line, or any of that. This stuff is by and large handled by our bass player, lead vocalist, and Fearless Leader Jon Sobel, The Hardest Working Guy In Show Business. I just have to show up and play.

That said, I imagine we may offer a downloadable music file or two, as opposed to mere streams, at some point.

Harriet, it was nice meeting you.

I discovered something wonderful at the gig last night: tonic water fluoresces. I hadn't known it did that.

The effect was beautiful. All it took was one unobtrusive UV tube, mounted high up on the ceiling. In the room's middling-dim light, my gin & tonic, and Deborah Green's vodka & tonic, both glowed a lovely ethereal pale blue.
