I've been to the Writer's Beware site, and they warn against ANY agency or agent that demands money upfront, or money for editing services. Miss Snark over at misssnark.blogspot.com also had a few posts about scamalicious agencies.
And the people over at Writer's Beware get death threats!
Wow. Well put. I don't see why some fundamentalists refuse to believe in evolution - it's such a well-thought out system, why couldn't they credit it to God?
I liked the "Daily Show" bit where one of the anchors compared the city where the Scopes trial took place to Colonial Williamsburg - because it hadn't changed at all. ^_^

I'm fairly lax with those...and I've never been good at math. As a writer, I thought I'd take Symbolic Logic in university, which is essentially math, with words, and it succeeded in completely confounding me.
