A young acquaintance of mine appears on text messages as "carpetbanger." A female friend was scandalized until she learned it was a reference to his part-time job laying carpet.
For your listening pleasure, I recommend the late Gilda Radner's excellent "Let's Talk Dirty to the Animals."
(sorry, originally appended this to the wrong thread)

Sorry. Real life intervened. Dan (72), Cyegm Tyeo is what I got when I rot-13'd Plrtz Glrb, a place in the Whedonverse. I wondered how the place name came into being, and thought rot-13'ing it might show me. It didn't, but now I want to use it as an in-joke to see if anyone else would get it.
Now I want to write for a television show so I can title an episode "There's No Place Like Cyegm Tyeo."
#3: They say "this is the George Bush Fan club, if you are even remotely left of center, do not join as i will bomb your mother."
Is that a promise?
And the earplugs I keep on my keychain find yet another use...how would a poet react to an entire bus conspicuously donning earplugs, Walkmen/ipods, etc. when he starts to recite?
Lost best cookbook to
Sewer backup in basement.
Found new copy (used).
Nearly wept with joy,
Bought it immediately.
Attic keeps my book.
The refrain that keeps going through my head as I read this is:
First they banned Pemoline, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a narcoleptic.
Then they banned Ritalin, and I didn't say anything because I didn't have ADHD.
Then they banned morphine, and I didn't say anything because I didn't need painkillers.
Then they banned SSRI's, and there were no activists left to speak up for me.
Who do I write to again?
