Yayness! Thank you for your hospitality, Fluoroshpere. We shall now depart in an calm and orderly fash-- *vanishes under mob*
Barbara @17: Worse than that, I'd already checked my email for the morning and didn't get back to it to find his message until I'd already thrashed around the 'Net in a panic. *sigh* I need to get out more.
Thank you, ma'am! I just hope we don't track mud over the carpet like last time....

Gah, thank you for the announcement and pointer, sir. Not only was I going mad refreshing AW, but I couldn't remember where the Camp was. 'Tis now bookmarked. :P
Yikes! Please add our best wishes for a full recovery to the multitude.

FWIW, there are a few literary references to "dun sail" (e.g. here)
If I were to guess, it'd be a sail made of dungri (the Indian cotton cloth that gives us "dungarees")
Thanks, Sandy!
We're back with no data loss, same URL as before: http://absolutewrite.com/forums/

Another huge Thanks! to Making Light for giving our fleet of dinghies a port in the storm.
It's starting to sound to me like you didn't pay your own bills or didn't want to pay to upgrade your own bandwidth allotment, and you had run out. The two-gig transfer of the database would've knocked you over the edge, so you decided to hem and haw and stall until June 1 when your meter was reset.
Heh. That was my first thought as well.

Heh. :)
Thank you, Teresa. May your editing pencil never go dull.
How on earth could one person (Barbara Bauer)wreak so much havoc?
Alone, she couldn't: She needed JC Hosting to be idiots. Alas, they were. What's worse, IMNSHO, they continue to be government-grade morons.
Thanks again to TNH & Co. for putting up with our dust.
Data point: MindSight, Done Deal, and Writers.Net also banned Mark for the same behavior. I don't doubt there are others beyond my surf line.
Please allow me to emit a belated effusion of gratitude to all of Making Light for your support of AW. *assortment of garishly animated smilies here*
I lurked here all day yesterday, but was too PO'd to post civilly. Today, I lay some Google fuses.
Dumb thing - is absoloutewrite.com down? I keep getting site not found errors.
Nope, it's been fine all morning. Check your address, cuz as typed you gots too many ohs. :)
Relief that minimalist contribution succeeded in amusing at least one of august company. Post illuminated with Snoopy dance and/or kowtowing emoticon(s).
