One of my pet peeves: fellow bicycle riders who won't wear a helmet
because it's too costly/hot/uncool/whatever. BS. Yes, it's a matter
of personal choice, but a helmet is such cheap insurance, and if
you need one (say, because you fall hard enough that *something*
around your brain is going to shatter on that rock...), you'll need
one *bad*.
However, if all else fails, one can draw comfort from the fact that
one can not make a wrong decision about wearing a helmet. If you
decide that your brain isn't worth even that tiny bit of effort to
protect... you're right. :}
Seriously, if you ride a bike, please wear a helmet!
