You Bush-haters are so predictable. When he said "bring em on" to the types trying to restore Saddam, it was no more than a statement that the US forces - would be happy to deal with these thugs in the open. It's not just macho grandstanding.

If Clinton had said the same thing none of the usual peacenik crowd would have cared less. Try thinking out of the box occasionally - it can be quite refreshing, you know.

Folks, all this stuff about neo-cons "capturing" Washington has the whiff of hysteria about it. It is no different from hearing conservatives bleating about Hollywood etc "capturing" Washington back when slick Willy was in power. Get a grip folks.

I have met Ken McLeod several times in England. Nice guy, very clued up about the libertarian movement in the US and here in Britain. I like the way he writes about the European Union. I still think the Star Fraction, his debut, is his best book.

However, Robert Heinlein still rules!

The theft of these artifacts is a disgrace, albeit totally predictable. However, and I apologise if this gives liberal folk the vapors, I cannot help feeling a mite annoyed at the way the naysayers have latched on to this issue. If this is the worst that one can say about the war, it clearly wasn't the disaster the opponents of war said it was going to be.

Iraq is now free of Saddam. If I were an Iraqi, I would would prefer that to a dictatorship with a nice museum any day.

Someone in the comments above likened Glenn Reynolds to Rush Limbaugh. Puh-leese! Glenn has trashed the Patriot Act, Trent Lott, the RAVE Act, and much else besides. He is a clear-cut libertarian. Limbaugh most certainly is not.
