In a supposedly definitive history written by a professional historian any of the factual defects mentioned should have been enough to prevent the book's publication. They are, frankly, both arrogant and insulting.

Am I missing something here? Nobody appears to have a bad word to say for Amazon selling something they had no right to sell. Out in the real world that is a crime, known as conversion (think of somebody stealing your car and then selling it on to someone else) You'd think Amazon might have checked first. They have enough lawyers, seemingly.
As for the Psion 5, I would buy another one tomorrow.

Over the years on inbound and outbound calls I have seen my - very able - female colleagues reduced to frustration and tears, as well as being abominably insulted whereas my white, middle aged, BBC newsreader, voice of authority telephone voice hardly ever attracts such behaviour.

The Post Office staff here in rural Northumberland (and deepest sarf London when I lived there) have never had the slightest difficulty in producing IRCs when I have asked for them. Not that I have recently, but there you go. I have only submittedly electronically for some time.

No it doesn't. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has an Established Church. England doesn't. Unlike Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, England does not have an elected legislative assembly to even debate the matter.
Misnaming England for Great Britain is a good way of pissing off the Scots and the Welsh and half the Ulstermen, which may be fun but is really rather insulting all the same.

I don't know about butterfly moment, but when I was 9 a particularly loathesome teacher handed back an essay on which he had scrawled that I shouldn't try so hard with style.
Another piece of advice from him I didn't take. My style (of writing) may not be what it was, but I'm still trying hard.
Deciding that the compatible but intense lover did really mean it when she said she thought I wanted to end it in favour of the frivolous blonde. She's not blonde now but 26 years of interesting times later we still laugh (and the thought of her makes me smile)
Ajay @117 - Non cabinet ministers get made life peers? That'll come as a great surprise to my former neighbour who recently resigned as a junior minister and returned to the back benches of the Commons, where peers of any description may not go for fear of getting the Sergeant at Arms' sword up their arras.
Nowadays, the PM has to be a member of the Commons. Other ministers do not have to be a member of either house, but by convention are because of their responsibility to Parliament.

This is the BBC we're talking about. Unless it is done by the yoof if Islington and is determinedly multi-cultural, it not only is dying, it must die and deserves nothing less.
Out in the real world, however, is is a case of Morris On, or Morris Off, if talking to anyone from the BBC. It isn't as though any team is going to get an Arts Council grant (although I'd be thrilled to be proved wrong)
