Ok, so now has security theater gone to absurd enough
lengths that we can actually step back and have a real national
conversation about what are and aren't sane and effective ways to
fight terrorism?
*crickets chirp*
Sadly, probably not. But Christ, if all it takes is some
strategically-placed cheap LEDs to throw a major American city into
chaos for half a day, we've really lowered the bar. All you have to
do is trigger the insane security response, and the authorities
will take care of the rest for you.
