Awesome! Good ol' Clark's. Back in the 1970's we used to think the poor bears were drugged.

I hope this might cheer you up!

Teresa,
The Corner has gone round the bend...

I'm tempted to quote Leo McKern at you from Man For All Seasons: "Some time ago, have you only just noticed?"

:)

Hi folks, for what it's worth, my blog review is here.

Cheers!

I just finished it, and a few quick thoughts before I post a more detailed review on my blog and Amazon.

The 'info-dumps' didn't bug me. While I'm not a coder (beyond tweaking things here and there when I need to in basic 'monkey-see, monkey-do' fashion), I am a video encoder geek, so I loved reading the expositions.

The book also surprised me. For example, I was sure about halfway through, that Darryl was not only alive, but completely turned over to the other side and there was going to be a bloody confrontation at the end. (On the other hand, I was happy in the end he hadn't.)

AnywAY, just a few quick thoughts thus far....

Good to be home, indeed, Teresa. (The world must be back to rights, because somewhere in the world, there's still Bacon and Egg Soup....

For the latter, let's examine the wildly successful two terms of the Dukakis Administration. Oh, wait.

Well said. On a different note, I don't mind pointing out Dukakis' 2+ 1 terms as MA governor weren't bad. Not only that, I still see him --regular guy--on the green line on his way in to teach classes. He never hesitates to greet or chat.

In contrast, anyone know what dark bar Bill Weld is hanging out in these days...

When action grows unprofitable, gather information. When information grows unprofitable, sleep.

Or, as I prefer, drink...

Old Overholt is damned hard to find. You would think so, but good old Marty's, next to the Whole Foods in Newton, not only carries Overholt, but several other brands I didn't even know exist ('Old Elijah' etc).

Lately I've been partial to Ireland's new export, Boru vodka. It's been a hard sell even in Boston, but seems finally to be finding its spot on the shelf at more places than not now.

Abi, that's a great passage. What's sad is so many of the anti-evolution jerks love to quote Chesterton. It would be nice if they read him more deeply....

Got home through the slush, soaked with a sinus headache. Not a bad day to make Bacon and Egg soup.

Speaking of medieval age languages, Teresa, anyone seen this yet?
