This one
struck a little close to home. When I put in a lunch order, in the
sort of place where you pay first, I typically factor the number
they give me. It's a mental vacation to the 15th (?) century
introduction of algebra to Europe: son-of-a-bitch, X^n-1 is always
divisible by x-1!
