The line between terrorism and guerilla war has been somewhat
blurry of late. At this point, I doubt they even refer to the same
category of thing: "guerilla war" is a military term for a kind of
conflict, and "terrorism" is a political term for the way your
enemies fight.*
* Yes, there's a much more precise definition having to do with the
use of highly destructive tactics against civilian populations in
order to cause demoralization. But the way the term is used these
days is much more elastic, and more than a little self-serving.
