I thought all the Saudi local color was interesting, and elevated the movie from an OK action flick to a good one. Of course, if I find out they got important details wrong, I would have to revise that assessment.
That middle item ("Nearly one of every 25 weapons the U.S. military bought for Iraqi security forces is missing...") doesn't particularly surprise me, under wartime conditions. When the pressure's on, the last thing you worry about is paperwork, particularly for semi-expendables like rifles. Only one in 25 missing sounds pretty good, actually. If my employer were to audit its records for PCs, I doubt 96% would turn up at their last recorded location.
My background in Objectivism is kind of thin, but as far as I can tell, if you believe your interests would be better served by being an employee rather than an entrepreneur, then that's the right thing to do, according to the philosophy.
I have never understood how a couple, particularly a young couple starting out, could spend the kind of money on a party that would essentially cover the down payment on a house.
Several reasons come to mind.
1. Because mom and dad are paying. 2. Because that's how it's done in the family. 3. Because they'll probably never have a chance to splurge like that again.
I must admit I would be interested in attending a truly extravagant wedding one day. I've only been to two of them, and both were fairly restrained affairs.
This would also be a good dress for the corpse bride/dead bride.
There's a word for having sex with a corpse, but not for marrying one.
I blame the liberals.
