oh, hell.
his books were not to my taste, but i met him once or twice and he was a nice man.
#101, Diatryma: use name is what i say.
i also recently have been saying "i use elizabeth for paperwork and betsy for people" really quite a lot, because when i am filling out official paperwork it seems like it should have my legal name on it, which no one who actually knows me uses. (now that i've grown out of the 'ELIZABETH ANNE LUNDSTEN YOU GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!' phase of my life, anyhow... ;)
totally unrelated to this post, but i couldn't figure out where else to put it.
i also couldn't find anything about making light's thoughts on the advertising that runs in the sidebars-- to whit, whether a person ought to mention the mccain 2008 ad that she keeps seeing in the sidebar. i don't rembember if you all are on the "we'll run all ads" platform or the "only ads that we like" platform.
i'm blogging this, as well, but approximately forty seven thousand more people read you than me.

that seems to help you figure out what you have to do in each state. (united states only; sorry) yes, you can put it on your drivers license, but your next of kin still need to consent, apparently. from what i read of the minnesota signup, i am now signed up in some way that means they don't need to ask anyone else. i'll know more within ten days once i get my welcome packet, and will pass on the details.
oh, pretty!
here in minnesota it's been a relatively light year for snow. however i'm hearing things about single digit fahrenheit highs for next weekend that are making me a little nervous.
carrie s: when my blood sugar gets low enough so that i start shaking, i also go for cheese (or other things containing protein). i will do sugar, but only if i'm really bad off and only to get me to a protein source. for me, my blood sugar seems to bounce back down quickly enough that i just end up with the shakes again pretty quickly.
i'm certain that if i took a spoonful of the stuff straight, my joints would stop hurting. (they do stop hurting after spontaneous combustion, right?)
i walked int convergence (fourth of julyish, located in dear old minnesota) a few weeks ago, and saw someone in a costume that looked to me like an upside down green claw hammer (it was apparently something from katamari damacy) and i thought to myself "yes, these are my frightening frightening people." (i was, for the record, very vey pleased.)
oy. it took me much longer than it should have for me to figure out why teresa was offering to send us to monkey fist websites.
ebay has cholis in larger sizes-- i wear a 24/26, and i have two very pleasing velvety ones, one in brown and one in burgundy. i am now resisting the urge to buy a sari and petticoat to go with. (must save money for new house.)
