Noting all the "electorns", are they something like hanging chads?
I'll just perch on the sidelines and wait for Serge to trout another pun.
Serge @334
Is their motto "We can make you look like a movie star"?
Fragano Ledgister @91
Another lovely offering of words.

It's a song from the 1890s called The Sidewalks of New York.
And thanks loads Bill Higgins--Beam Jockey, now I have the earworm too.
From the author intro link...
my favorite line was:
it is not my fault if it upsets you when you knew from the gecko what it contained
If she's a small lizard that would explain why her writing is so bad
I muenster be crazy to keep reading this thread.
Would I be a heel (or maybe a crumb) to say these puns make me yearn for something butter?
Thanks Marilee, it sounds excellent. In my family we have giblet gravy...make a broth by simmering the neck and innards, strain, put the shredded neck meat back in, add corn starch and Kitchen Bouquet. Tradition is a big deal and I doubt I could ever convince them to try a cream gravy.
Marilee.....I've never had cream gravy with roast turkey. How do you make it?
I used to see a doctor who came from a small town in Alberta. The calendar from the restaurant there advertised "Mexican, Mennonite, and Canadian Food".
I saw something tonight that completely boggled my mind. In an empty lot, someone was selling various banners and flags - U.S., state, local universities. One was a confederate flag, but to the side of it (part of the same fabric) was the Obama "hope" campaign picture. It was a very strange juxtaposition. I can't imagine what the message is supposed to be.
Joel Polowin@213
"The whole-wheat flour that I prefer to buy, which has the brain finely ground..."
Someone always finds a way to bring zombies into the thread.
Serge
The quickness of your wit does not pedaunt me in the slightest.
I thought your pedant was married to your peduncle.
Whoa, Serge! I say neigh to that. Don't take the bit in your mouth and lead us on a wild (steeple)chase.
Re #50 & 65
Shouldn't that be "free rein"?
The scents of woodsmoke, bacon, and coffee on a cold morning -reminders of so many family camping trips over the years. I've never found anything that tastes as wonderful as coffee and bacon smell outdoors.
When I was growing up, we had a wood-burning sheepherder's stove that we called "Dutch Love" because my dad said that's how hot it burned. Has anyone else come across the term "hot as Dutch love"?
