I was going to ask why 325° is the recommended minimum, thinking it was a biology question, and then had an epiphany and realized it was actually a physics question.

Of course, it was the nature of the post itself that led to my epiphany - the longer it takes to cook the bird, the longer it takes to cook the center of the bird, duh - so I guess I owe Jon thanks for putting me in a position to apply lab science knowledge for the first time in quite a while.

Last night I witnessed an attack ad against Claire McCaskill (also a target-by-association of Limbaugh's attacks on Michael J. Fox) implying in the VO (without sources, of course!) that she's soft on the issue of Mexican immigration. The video dropped more-subtle hints that she's soft on irredentism. I was disgusted, but we haven't even gotten to the truly bizarre part.

...I don't even live in Missouri. Just close enough that I can't imagine many people here being registered in Missouri as absentee voters.

Whatever it takes, right?
