I'll second Transmet, even if the OP didn't particularly like it. (And I'll energetically agree with the OP's opinion of Nextwave because I am an admitted Ellis-ite.) To go with that, though, I'll add Orbiter and Global Frequency. I suppose that GF could arguably be considered a superhero comic, but there are no underwear perverts. Fell is a definite too, if for no other reason than Ben Templesmith.
Abi & Xopher: Polihack? Hacktician? Hacktician leads me to hactastic, but that could just be the pain pills talking.
I just wanted to add to LizT @ 167. I'll be sharing this story with my twelve year old daughter. On one hand, it hurts me to have to tell her that people like this exist. On the other, the idea of her not knowing is so much worse.
Gah. Nevermind. Someone beat me to it.
Out of morbid curiosity, I've been following this since I first read about it over at Victoria Strauss's blog, both here and at Dear Author. In the comments at Dear Author, the owners of Long Story Short have now weighed in as well. LSS is not only refusing to take down the plagiarized material, but they're also accusing users who are requesting that their material be removed of trying to destroy the owners.
Be careful. Apparently the stupid is contagious.
