At least they did not create a school "fan" page and put up a poll:

Jeezus HS:

Yay!

Meh ...

Hiss ~~

and THEN harvest info from "friends".

I had Sicilian grandparents who made their own pork sausage -- and I make my own to this day. The recipe I use had canelli beans, but I prefer a smaller bean. Pignoli, not walnuts -- thank goodness, because I'm getting a walnut allergy -- it's coming on slowly, but it's coming to join the other nut allergies.

So my pasta fagioli is more tomato-looking, but I love it anyway.

#73 Jim -- I have something akin to the rat cage as a normal cage, and I used the Habitrail as a backup -- mistake!

#74 Teresa -- I long ago disconnected the wheel, because every hamster has thought it was the perfect nest and food storage place, and I had seeds and surf scattered everywhere.

The big cage still has a couple of plastic tubes, and she spends a lot of time hiding in them. I may have to go for a real rat cage instead. I am also planning to go find a plastic pail and shovel so I can shovel out her cage without putting her in another cage. She is so athletic I've never been fast enough to pick her up!

And then, in the category of other related materials, I'll likely nominate the Robert A. Heinlein Centennial Souvenir Book, with its previously unpublished Heinlein bits, tributes from folks like John Scalzi, Allen Steele and many more, and its photos and background bits (including a photo of Heinlein's first wife). This publication looks like an upscale convention program book, and served that purpose at the Heinlein Centennial.

You can still acquire copies from the Heinlein Centennial web site, but not in time for nominating -- only becuase it's entertaining.

Congratulations, Patrick, and may you happily edit for many years to come.

Getting a chunk of our weather really would make a mess of subways. You notice that no Tornado Alley city uses subways. Light rail is the closest we can come to railed transport.

On July 4 I started out for the airport and ended up driving through two foot deep floods in the streets and rivers running down hills. That is pretty typical for Kansas City. It's a disaster area for Brooklyn.
