That should sound familiar to anyone old enough to remember when
PCs and Macs started to infiltrate the workplace - resisted by IT,
then triumphant, finally subverted and controlled. Of course that
sounded familiar to anyone who saw minis sneaking into departments
and labs, resisted by the mainframe acolytes in IT. Now it's coming
around again. It's almost as though there were some iron law at
work.
