Hoo boy, the wingnuts are going to *freak out* like nobody's business over this... especially since *their* president didn't win!

D'oh. "Yesterday", I mean.
Posted on entry September 11 ::: September 12, 2009, 04:26 AM:
Today also marks the 6th anniversary of the assassination of Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh.

And really, seriously, where else are you going to get Moose Burger BBQ and craft-made mosquitoes constructed from gen-u-ine moose dung?

Sweden?

Also, Cadbury Moose at #13 opines:

Jim @12 noted:

"There's the Abbe Museum's Chocolate Moose Festival over in Maine."

I approve of this product and/or service.

I've had it. Well, whisky-marinaded moose steak with a dark chocolate sauce. Quite nice, but VERY heavy stuff.

I use no landline, and haven't used one in almost four years. The flat I share does have a landline - the only callers are my flatmate's mother and telemarketers.

Epacris, #116: I've taken the Ghan Adelaide-Alice Springs, almost 10 years ago (I think the rest of the line up to Darwin wasn't finished). It's a beautiful experience!

Bad Jim, #81: Car would have the downside of one person being forced to concentrate on the road. And in some cases the journey itself is part of the desired experience. Plus, Interrail passes are pretty cheap.

"PRISON IS A SERIES OF CUBES." - the Poor Man does Time Cube (which is very odd in itself); Gene "Mr. Time Cube" Ray has apparently endorsed McCain...

Serge, in post #56: At some point, didn't the Galactic Patrol carry a whole solar system from our galaxy to another?

You may be thinking of Project Rho, from Skylark DuQuesne, which involved teleporting planets from Galaxy A to Galaxy B (and stars from Galaxy C to Galaxy A for a campaign of massive genocide).

Yes, I've seen a genuine stuffed two-headed calf (at the museum of natural history, right here in Stockholm). I have also had moose stew (and mooseburger, and moose kebab - I prefer a good whisky-and-cocoa marinated moose steak with a dark chocolate sauce, though!). AND I've seen a white moose calf (stuffed). Do you have one of those, HMMMM?

I also commend to your eyes my friend Martin Rebas' prints. Only four thus far, ranging from the derangedly cute to the odd to the sweet.

Sten Thaning, 65: Yeah, I seem to remember horrified reports from Fox News about Rosengård from a couple of years back.

And what're you up to these days, anyway?

Andrew Brown, #46: Fewer boys were named Mohammed in 2006 than were named Neo (190 compared to 224). And that includes a number of variant spellings. The winner in 2006, Lucas, saw 1173 bearers. Mohammed and variants sits at around 70th-80th most popular boy's name in the 1998-2006 boy's name statistics I've looked at. The most popular "un-Swedish" boy's name in the 2006 stats is Liam (643). Clearly the Irish are a much larger threat to our cultural integrity!

Source.

And Mohammed's not on the top 100 men's name in the general population at all.

Source.

So, "may not be a completely bogus statistic" is not just wrong, but HELLA wrong.

I have seen claims that the "full of {win/lose}" terminology (with extensions/embroderies like "full of tasty and nutritious win") originated from the 4chan message board.

Keith, #101: It might have something to do with Nader's org working hard to have one med Teresa (and a number of other people here) need to be more or less functional taken off the market due to rather small hazards to a well-defined group of people medicated with it.

Currently #17, what I think is Chinese, linking to, um, some site which seems to be selling something.

Serge, #135. Happened to me, though in my case it was a keyring with keys on, rather than loose change.

Currently #154, selling discounted medication.

Kathryn, #22: I find Blindsight to be excellent before-bed reading, though last night I had the idea for a t-shirt along the lines of those "Joss Whedon is My Master Now", with "Jukka Sarasti is My Master Now"...

I also realised I have read 80% of the novel finalists, and not a single other one of the written ones.
