I'd probably be guilty of making a horrifically sweeping
generalisation if I said that everybody in Europe were
rooting for Obama. But this at least I know to be true: here in
Ireland, I, my family, and all my friends are busily engaged in
chewing our nails to the quick as we watch the race unfold (that
is, when we're not keeping our fingers firmly crossed for an Obama
victory).
