Looks like Republican John Cornyn has kept his senate seat, but it looks closer than anyone expected.

However, it seems increasingly likely that the Texas State House of Representatives may regain a Democratic Majority.

I think the early voting results are what's mainly being counted in TX right now - and that includes the major urban areas, which skew democratic. Especially here in Travis County in Austin, where a full half of the electorate voted early.

Of course, if Texas goes for Obama I'll jump for joy.

Definitely glad I early voted, though I'm sure it's not that bad. In Austin's Travis County, a full half of the electorate voted early.
