Ack! ***Teresa***

Sorry!

The dish itself, of course, looks splendid. Shall try it. But the *recipe*! Theresa, I've noticed your cookery items before, and always wanted to comment: this is how I think in the kitchen. Bit of this. Measure of that. Add the mixture till it looks right. Stir it till it smells right. Eat it when it tastes right.

I know that baking can require a *bit* more ... arithmetic -- and not that I'm afraid of arithmetic. But I do love improvisation, serendipity, and adventure.

Typical left-wing tactics, presenting all the documented facts and evidence so one can't wriggle out with ad hominem attacks and innuendo.

Also.

1. No ho entenc, but I'm quite sure that if I can grasp the concept of a lee shore, I can get the hang of this.

2... God's love, there's a Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris...

Here's the Google Maps terrain view shot. So cute with all the little Space Paddle Shuttles at the little docking stations!

Do you have any idea what that can do to your luck?

I'm not assuming the current administration has sufficient aficionados of Heinlein, Willis, Ford, Martin, et al., to get this narrative. More's the pity.

As this was not declared a politics-free zone, I feel compelled to report the latest in the campaign for Lord-High-Mucky-Muck. The pair of surviving candidates, both high nobles and knights of the kidney-shaped table, sheathed their lances and engaged in a joust of wit this even past. Our chancellor agrees, and scuttlebutt from the penny seats confirms, that Sr. Sidney came across a right prune, failing to change the complexion of the race, since his rival Sr. Huzzah could have been his precursor, so meet and juicy were his ripostes.

All of which sidesteps the weird *message* in the quote. (Some bloggers have asserted 'small-town' is code for 'white'.)

Doesn't this country grow good people on its farms, in its cities, in its suburbs? Aren't people, you know, basically good?

Oh sure, some of them are *especially* good. We can tell from just looking at them.

And again: apologies do not contain the word "but."
