I'm coming out of the lurk-weeds to say Happy Return of the Light
to all. (I always figured that the festival that was turned into
Christmas was delayed a few days after the actual solstice so that
the celebrants could be really certain that the days were getting
longer.)
Joseph, incidentally, was a stock figure of fun in the Mediaeval
passion plays. He's the classic cuckold.
