The man was a terrorist! You can tell by his accent, which didn't come through in the article.
The dead aren't the only soldiers this adminstration has already forgotten. I read an article about the hundreds of wounded who wait weeks to recieve treatment. It's shocking and shameful.

Man. I've been haunted by these letters since I read them. It's amazing that this stupid war is claiming more lives every day.
Ah, the old being-a-jerk. It happens to the best of us. And the worst of us. Only the best of us admit it.
One sure way to beat the comment spammer would be having a sign-in required before someone can post comments. I use postnuke, (www.postnuke.com) completely free content management software which does just that. It would be nightmarish to get all your data from your site into a new database though.
Jim,
A lot has happened!
The Turks have been invited in. I can't wait to see how the US's only real allies in Iraq, the Kurds, will react to their arch enemies running the show.
Iran is playing with nukes, having learned from this whole debacle that Axis of Evil nations with the bomb don't get invaded.
Natural Baathist enemy, Al-Qaeda. is actually operating within Iraq for the first time. The bogus threat of Iraqi ties to Bin Laden has been made real.
If you want to read more about Iraq, I have an interview on my website with a Japanese journalist who just returned from Baghdad. There are pictures too.
