I agree with the basics of your comment. Whomever wins the
nomination, if not Dean, is going to need Dean as the perfect stump
"hammer" (thus deflecting any "pessimist" charge) as well as his
network of supporters and contributors (me being one of these).
The novice who has never dealt with a political debate format ala
the Iowa caucuses really is out of their element if they don't
understand the subtlety of making a point without the condescension
(sp?). This could explain the large margin between Kerry/Edwards
and Dean, as well.
