But I have a question - everything I've read about submissions says
you shouldn't do anything special to make yourself stand out. No
colored paper, no UPS second-day, no stickers or cute comments on
your envelope, and nothing special in your cover letter.
Are nudge notes allowed to be more creative, or is it just the fact
that it was surprising that made it special?
(this is not to be a slam against the author - good for her for
getting your attention - but I was just curious)
