What about The Reverend Mr. Gene Robinson, the recently consecrated
Episocopalian bishop of New Hampshire? I am not being snarky when I
say that Mr. Robinson could bring a unique perspective since he
thought of himself as straight, or at least tried to act straight,
for many years and has certainly had to think about himself and his
God to pass muster and be recommended to the bishopric.
I, myself, am UCC. I am going to call our national office tomorrow
and ask where they are in this fight. I don't mean where they
stand. We are an open and affirming denomination, but where the
witnesses are.
