Stefan Jones writes that his new dog vigorously bats and rubs at her muzzle with both front paws. Both of my dogs, also very large, do this all the time. I don't know exactly why they do it, but it's normal. If I had to guess, I'd say that it was an attempt to scratch an itch or reset her whiskers. Also, sometimes my dogs do it before sneezing.
Congratulations on the new dog.
I'd buy a "nutbar conspiracy theorist" t-shirt in a heartbeat if there was a design that wasn't so, well, garish. Too many colors and too many transitions make the shirt hard to read. (I like simpler color schemes for clothes, as anyone who has seen what I wear can vouch for.) Perhaps you might offer the current design and another simpler one?
From above: I don't suppose it will be too bad.
Tell it to the people living on the coast of North Carolina. Here in Durham, we had a few inches of rain and a lot of wind, but there are no large tree branches down in the backyard, so we've seen bigger storms. We had no power for about four hours.
It's a beautiful day today, though.
Teresa says:
I am morally certain that right now, all over this country, there are fine upstanding patriotic American girls who wouldn't hesitate to volunteer to blow someone in the Oval Office, if doing so would magically repair our economy, get us out of that godawful war in Iraq, and restore the respect in which the United States was formerly held by the other nations in this world.
Never mind that. I'd blow Bush right now if it would bring about that magical list of results. I'm a heterosexual guy who wouldn't normally volunteer such things, but these are desperate times :(
