I've definitely noticed this. The real short fuses and
control-freaks now have the cover of national security to pursue
their quest to hold unspeakable power and threat over someone
else.
Most of them are nice enough I guess, but the outliers now seem to
make no effort. It almost takes the edge off my sympathy for near
industry-wide job losses and pay cuts. If I'm not alone in this,
maybe the industry should consider that in addition to being scared
and broke, people may not be flying as much because they know
there's no recourse if they get stuck with the most insufferable of
customer 'service' at random.
