Delurking to say thank you for articulating this. Yes, it has been,
and remains, a "terrible burden to the spirit." I'm sick of it. I'm
tired of playing nice, only to be subject to the sneering contempt
and intellectual thuggishness of people who won't play by the
rules.
What really makes me angry is the sense that half the country is
being held hostage to the other half's willful stupidity.
