You've caught enough of my brain farts, I thought I'd return the favor.
Mind you, SF has always been full of people with nutty opinions. Richard Shaver, for years the editor of Amazing, believed that malign "disintegrant energy robots"
I thought Shaver was just an author and the editor was Ray Palmer during that period.
And I'm even mentioned by name on his web page.
He was on the short fiction jury with me a few years back. He didn't seem like a loon in our e-mail discussions.
That year, we added "The Pagodas of Ciboure" by M. Shayne Bell and "Little Gods" by Tim Pratt. I had made a strong case of P.D. Cacek's "A Book, By Its Cover," as well.
mayakda-Kate hadn't finished the sixth book when I served with her on the Nebula jury a few years ago. Obviously the problem is she's spending all her time on juries rather than writing.
Patrick-I'm glad you'll be in Chicago. Should I make a list of good hot dog stands near the hotel for you?

I was recently told that a third Sumner "Devil's" novel will be serialized in the fantasy magazine Black Gate. Don't know if it has a book publisher yet or not.
Just wanted to let you know that when the NYT article appeared, one of my co-workers approached me and asked if I by any chance had an advance copy of the book. I told her I did and she offered my lots and lots if I would give her a copy. I told her it was mine, all mine.
It makes me proud that Obama is going to be my next senator.
Had just read Peter Maass's article and clicked over to see if Patrick had heard about it yet, especially given the PKD reference. I wasn't disappointed.
