I am envious, and going to mention that dumpster to my sister the architect in New Haven. I am glad to see you have more energy again.
Our forecast was for only showers, only as far north as Ticonderoga; but here near the highest point in New York State we got half an inch after all. However Frances left 2.8" while I was decompressing from worldcon in central Massachusetts, watching shower after mild shower and merely deciding to sleep with the spiders and cardboard boxes in an attic rather than in my ratty little tent.
I wish I could have jumped in to be helpful, and then looked up some people in the Green-wood.
I just learned to knit this winter; might be better socially during meetings than Palm Pilot solitaire (except during volunteer fire department meetings where I don't rock any boats and the Palm Pilot is fine). My only ambition so far is afghan squares, like my Quaker great-aunt, who knitted squares for other people to crochet together long past the time she was able to see them.
