As a child I went to this preschool: little red school house. It was separated by walls. And it was horrendous.
Snacks were nutter butters with a dollop of grape jelly. Still can't eat those.
the back yard was junk filled broken toys and had a metal rocket. the pigs in the pens were voracious and we were told not to stick our fingers through or that we would loose them.
then there were the tire pits. I still have a scare across my hand where I grabbed a tire after falling in one of the pits...kids got lost in there and they did not come to find you.
It all seems pretty unbelievable. But I was telling the story one day and one of my friends began to squirm on the couch. His soon to be girlfriend was laughing at me when he spoke up to say..."yeah well we used to through kids from the rocket too. And those pigs were scary. I have nightmares about those pigs."
Turns out...though we met in college...we went to the same preschool.
Awesome post.
I have not been very level headed about this subject....I've just been too angry.
I've only been held up at gun point once. New years eve 1999. I was a rose girl...so me in a formal dress and coat..carrying a basket of roses and lots of cash in a hidden pocket.
They guy brought his girlfriend over and pointed a gun at me.
I didn't say anything, I calmly raised my fist and knocked on the large window to the police department...thirty cops turned to look at us. The guy gave me the money for a rose and then walked away.
I was extremely scared, I didn't even think. I can't imagine how I even thought about my surroundings.
I've been saving up for a gun...mainly to have in my house. Right now I practice with my BF's. I grew up around guns, I am not afraid of them.
I have only seen one man shot. It bother me because though I saw it. I was there, I heard it , I saw the man fall. Later the police claim that he was just hit with a blunt object and walked out of the hospital.
That bothers me. Blunt objects don't make that noise.
Rebecca O'Meara, either an agent or a publicist I'm not sure, just spammed all the Meetup groups, IMDb, and has a few listings on publishers weekly, a nanny site and an independent publishers site.
She has no publications, or representative lists though she's suppossedly "World Wide"
I'm not sure what to think of her.
ah okay...
I just had three people ask me today why the prt scr key doesn't work to print...
It's been one of those days
On a windows computer...the prt scr button only creates a picture of your destop...
You then need to got into a program like paint or photoshop and paste it into a file.
It doesn't print to a printer.

Who decides what is Societal Discord?
This needs to be pointed out but the Iraqi Security Minister in an interview ith NPR said that the Iraqies were not in charge of the execution...and a few minutes later US officials say that they had no control of the execution and were not present after handing Hussein over.
So who killed Saddam and why are we asking?
Must of had the same pr guy as his dad.
Just before the bombs began to drop in the PG war...Bush sr was reported to have already gone to bed before the war officially started.
This shocked me as young teen...and I still carry it with me as the height of stupidity today.
No ideas are original.
mongols, middle east. ::mumble::
::shakes head::
Forgive me if this has been addressed but:
When Chavez alluded to Bush as devil did no have a shiver of fear? The Devil is temptation and what could have Bush offered Chavez which tempted him?
And should we be proud that he refused?
Don't they do this already in the form of reviews..
oh wait.
Here we call this To Mexican. As, wow you just mexicaned that lock. Not everyone says this but it's pretty common practice.
When your key wears down you can still use it...and then take it out..while the car is till going. When the lock itself wears down you can start the car without a key at all. The verb comes from Mexicans who buy old cars. Usually the locks/keyed areas are so worn down you don't need a key. This happens a lot faster now with the materials we use in locks. Go fig.
Bumping is a logical thing. If you can force an object past the tumblers the lock will turn. That's any object. Using a blank key is okay, but why bother when a slim pair of scissors will work too.
These in which a lock is picked depends on the make (some new locks just take a screw driver), the materials used, and the strength of the bolt.
As with bombs, this information is everywhere. You just have to put two and two together in highschool science class.
It's been a lond day, that's supposed to be year.
And my family consists of 4 cats, 1 dog and a daughter.
Wow,
If one of those types would spare me $1000/per month I could pay off my all my debts except mortgage, and then could afford a new car and live happily on my 29,000 per year pay.
Just sayin'
Michelle (whose goal is to eventually make 40,000 a year.
Michelle, people always say that to me. First I mentioned it to my GP. He prescribed blood tests. Results: no bum thyroid. People kept on telling me that my symptoms are the same as hypothyroidism, so I went to a different doctor and told him again. He prescribed different tests, including hormone titration.
Result: no, some people REALLY ARE DEPRESSED.
I totally agree that some are and it's great that you were tested first...thyroid disorders go undiagnosed for over 15 years on average while docs are trying to deal with the symptoms which mimic more life threatening dieases such as depression and cancer. yes, I consider depression life threatening. I have extreme hypothyroidism. Before it was diagnosed I had been through rounds of drugs for psychotherapy, cancer tests, skin creams, diets etc...I thought I was going insane. Now I take synthroid every day, and unlike prosac or ritalin (which I have been on) things are clear without the numbness. There are side effects. Lossing weight is impossible. I have to work out 5 days a week to maintain 189lbs, I'm strong but I look like a walking funhouse mirror svelt from the front, fat and flabby from the side. There are unafordable options for that so maybe when I win the lottery.
Besides that little complaint, it's nice having a clear head and being able to enjoy life. For those that deal with add, adhd and/or depression that is not thyroid related I hope that one day they can get a drug that works more like a freedom fighter and less like a gate keeper. That's from my own experience.
hrm, those are the same symptoms for a bum thyroid...from the weight gain and acne to the depression, mood swings and plain craziness.
and that just takes one little pill.
I'd have to agree with Sean, though I hope I'm wrong too.

I swear by them. They have always been fair with me and the price can't be beat.
A few points from a Denverite.
The Day(s) without immigrants did not affect any I knew. I could still shop, I could still drive, get gas, do my job and for once get to work in a timely manner (all the construction was on hold) which is a god send this time of year in this state. I still got to the farmer's market, I still had my trash taken out both at work and at home.
This isn't about wage wars as much as one might think. NO ONE can live off a minimum wage job for long many who do have a minimum wage job have at least two if not three. This includes illegals as well as american and legal immigrants. I'm astonded that this does not come up. No one mentions that Americans are turned away from jobs that they think no one will do or that no one can really live $6.00 and support children.
Basically what I think is this: Business/corporations that hire illegals should be held responsible. Background checks and reporting criminals to authorities should be mandatory. When I say criminals I mean those that commit crimes on top of being here illegally. If they are here illegally but want citizenship companies should have a sponsorship program. I think a guest worker program is great, there are many families who only want to work here, not live here. When my parents & grandparents moved here from Canada they had to sign a contract with an American company and the gov to work for that company for 6 years. In that time they had to apply for citizenship or be deported at the end of the 6 year period. They did it. They are all legal. Why is this so hard for everyone else? They were poor btw. Don't give me **** about how it takes money.
The Mexican government should be held responsible (many who come here illegally do not know there is any other way)
I don't think there is an easy solution but I do think that this is problem. When I lived in Mexico it was very apparent that those with Native blood were below those with European blood. In many ways Mexico is kicking out the natives for lack of jobs, utilities and work.
On a lighter note: Of course Denver could kick NY's ***. Unlike tv, people who come to Colorado never go back East again.
