Dexamphetamine sulphate is currently available in Australia via the pharmaceutical benefits scheme for narcolepsy (PBS listing). I don't know where we get it, but it perhaps suggests an alternative supply exists... Of course, this may mean you have to move to Australia.
OTOH, I will be coming from Australia to Boskone. If Damien is correct, perhaps there is something I can do from this end. If so, please feel free to let me know. Hang in there.
As you might gather from the subsequent post, I've listened to the whole interview, and I certainly don't agree. If anything, her unbowlderized remarks reflect even more poorly on her as a human being.
I thought that given Clinton's remarks that followed, she might have been trying to say something about giving the people a future like he said, only screwing it up in her patrician way. Or, I agree, she could be this appallingly elitist and clueless.

Then she added: “What I’m hearing is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

Far be it from me to claim that these are sensitive comments. However, in the context of the full Marketplace interview, they're not *quite* as appalling as they seem when read without the connecting sentences. There's another category of people besides the "I'm ridin' it out no matter what" blusterers and the indigent, and that's the tourists who couldn't get a flight out before the airport was closed, obviously didn't have local transportation, and probably only a lucky few could have scored a rental car. Surprised we haven't heard more about those unlucky people -- I'm sure some of them help make up the Superdome refugee total. There but for the...
