"Superior...Editor Nielsen Hayden deserves a medal; there hasn't been an original anthology series so consistently satisfying since Damon Knight's Orbit."
--Kirkus Reviews

"Patrick Nielsen Hayden's Starlight series, now in its third volume, has easily gained a reputation as the most innovative and intriguing general-purpose original anthology series currently being published in SF and fantasy."
--Gary K. Wolfe, Locus

"A marvellous anthology of often refreshingly innovative short fiction. We need more publications of this quality."
--Interzone

"A collection of stories that is every bit the equal of its predecessors, and that firmly establishes Nielsen Hayden as an editor of impeccable credentials...It's hard to imagine that there will be a better original anthology published this year."
--Jonathan Strahan, Locus

"A clear snapshot of the SF genre at the turn of the millennium. The fine writing of many of the stories indicates that the genre is as vivid and alive at the beginning of the 21st century as it was in the 20th."
--Publishers Weekly

"Admirable...The contributors' skill and the editor's judgment guarantee that anyone not exclusively committed to action sf can find something to enjoy among these 16 stories. Lots of excellent reading here, of a sort that makes one hope for more starlight."
