The father of Christopher FitzRandolph may have been Richard Hollingworth of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, to whom Jane Langton bequeathed a pig in her will of 1574. DNA testing has shown that the descendants of the colonist Edward FitzRandolph are not descended from any FitzRandolphs beyond the first few FitzRandolph generations preceding him, but that they are quite probably descended from the Hollingworths of Mottram, Cheshire, of whom Richard was one.Children:
