    G. Andrews Moriarty (citation details below) calls her Bridget Crandall, which is obviously interesting to us -- Hopkinton is one town over from Westerly, founded by TNH ancestor John Crandall. But there seems to be no consensus on what her maiden name actually was.

    Several online sources notwithstanding, she was probably not Bridget Brownell, a descendant of Ann Marbury Hutchinson.
