  Her birth surname is often given as Bull. Grace Bull and Thomas Prentice were married 8 Jul 1647 in Earls Colne, Essex, and a Thomas Prentice was christened in Chipping Ongar, Essex on 25 Apr 1624, son of another Thomas Prentice and his wife Mary. But we're unaware of any evidence that conclusively connects these records to this New England couple. It's worth noting that the New England Thomas Prentice's Find a Grave page features an unusually clear photograph of his (contemporary) gravestone, which states that he died 7 Jul 1709 "in the 89th year of his age". This would place his birth in 1620 or 1621, which if true would eliminate him as the man baptized in 1624. Of course, many people's ages were exaggerated on their gravestones. It would be helpful if we had a record of the New England Thomas Prentice stating his age at some point in his lifetime.
