  • Notes
    • According to the 1920 US census, both of his parents were born in Denmark.

An unsourced ancestry.com tree gives his father as Louis Sorensen, born 1866 in Denmark, died 15 May 1904 in Nebraska, and Marie K. Rasmusen, born Oct 1871 in Denmark, died Jan 1952 in Los Angeles County. The newspaper obituary reproduced on Karl Christian Sorensen's Find a Grave page does corroborate one piece of this, saying that he was survived by his mother "Mrs. Mary Sorensen of Los Angeles, Cal."
