  • Notes 
    • He was in Connecticut on 24 Apr 1649, when he was fined for trading a gun to Native Americans. He was a merchant living in Bushwood, St. Clement's Manor, St. Mary's County, Maryland, when he wrote his will. He was a freeholder of St. Clement's in 1660. According to Ancestral Records and Portraits (citation details below), he was a member of the Maryland council of state in 1655, and a burgess from St. Mary's County in 1658; also a captain of militia.
