  • Notes
    • She may have been a daughter of William Sawbridge of Hillmorton who died on either 3 Nov 1593, when he wrote his will, or 4 Nov 1593, when he was buried. However, William Sawbridge's will does not mention daughter Elizabeth or any member of the Perkins family.

John Brooks Threlfall (citation details below) says "Elizabeth Perkins was buried 20 August 1613. Presumably this was [Henry Perkins'] widow." But the actual entry in the Hillmorton register dated 20 Aug 1613 is substantially illegible -- the surname for the individual buried on that day is plausibly Perkins, but it is very difficult to believe that the given name should be read "Elizabeth."

Her husband Henry Perkins died in 1609. Her Wikitree page notes that an Elizabeth Perkins is recorded in Hillmorton as marrying Thomas Compton, a close associate of Henry Perkins, on 9 Jun 1612. Compton's previous wife had died in 1610. If this is our Elizabeth Perkins, she may have been the person of that name recorded as buried in Hillmorton on 5 Nov 1636 or 8 May 1643.
