Notes - Or Derby, or Darby. Many web sites call him a son of a John Derby or Darby of Salem. There is no proof that such a person even existed, much less that this Thomas Daby was his son. This Thomas Daby may have been a brother of Joseph Daby of Stow, who died there on 22 Feb 1734, age 80.
A Narragansett soldier under Capt. Joseph Still in King Philip's War, 1676. Removed from Concord to Stow with his wife in 1684. Elected deacon of the Stow church in 1706.
His gravestone in Holliston calls him "Deacon Thomas Daby, of Stow" and says that he died in his 82nd year.
