  • Notes
    • In The History of Martha's Vineyard, Dukes County, Massachusetts by Charles Edward Banks (Boston: George H. Dean, 1911), Charles Edward Banks argued that she was probably a daughter of Edward Barter of Haxton, Wiltshire, whose will was dated 6 Oct 1574, and his wife Edith, whose will was dated 9 Aug 1576. Edward Barter was a son of James Barter of Fovent, Wiltshire, who mentioned both Edward and Edith in his will of 1 Sep 1565.
