    • Attended Eton 1575-80; admitted to King's College, Cambridge in 1580; B.A. 1585, M.A. 1588, B.D. 1595; D.D. 1606. Fellow of King's College 1583-97. From 1597 on he was rector of the church at Welford, Berkshire. On 29 Mar 1614 he was made a canon of St. George's Chapel at Windsor, in which office he served alongside his father-in-law William Wilson.
