  • Notes
    • He was a prominent merchant in Boston, Roxbury, and Salem whose name, under an extravagant variety of spellings, appears in many records from 1686 on. Among his enterprises appears to have been one or more slaughterhouses. He was also one of the founders of the first society for Episcopal worship in Boston. Nothing is known of his parents, but he is believe to have come from Ireland.
